London 2026
On 9 June, we brought together 140 senior marketing, technology and investment leaders at the Design Museum in London for prompt — a by-invitation conversation about what AI is really doing to the creative and marketing industries. We heard from innovators including ElevenLabs, Profound, Google, Aaru, Prior Labs, Listen Labs, Hightouch. A who's who of leading AI companies serving the marketing and creative industries.
The message was clear: this isn't a moment to watch from the sidelines.
Here's what we took away:
- Build connective tissue, not just tools. Stacking AI apps on unchanged processes creates complexity, not advantage. The winners are integrating AI deep into their workflows so intelligence compounds across their teams and over time.
- Governance is a growth lever. Keeping your data secure and compliant doesn't slow you down — it gives your team the confidence to experiment without fear. That's where the speed comes from.
- Human judgement is the differentiator. AI can generate. It can't feel what will land. The leaders who develop taste and learn to direct AI intelligently will become invaluable. Those who don't will be left behind by colleagues who did.
- Stop prototyping. Start shipping. Campaign lead times that took 8 weeks now take 4 hours. The cost of testing is approaching zero. Pilots are not the route to success.
- Build for a lasting advantage. Investors look at new AI businesses as being one API call away from being disrupted. Companies need to protect their business by owning proprietary data, building strong customer, distribution, embedding workflows and using models smartly. All of these are easy to say but hard to implement.
The overarching lesson is urgency. Define what success looks like for your organisation and move quickly. The penalty for misstep is remarkably low, but the reward for moving fast is massive.
prompt is a gathering curated for the most senior leaders thinking seriously about these questions. If you'd like to be considered for the next one, follow us at prompt.
Thanks to all the speakers, our sponsors and all our participants.
